Animals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You probably have thought that animals\u2014like dogs, cats, and horses\u2014 look way different than people. \u00a0Especially their legs!! \u00a0Well, this may come as a big surprise to you\u2014 but dogs, cats and horses (mammals) look more like people than you think!! \u00a0In fact, the skeleton of a human and any mammal are <strong>very<\/strong> similar. \u00a0One of the main reasons that \u00a0the legs look so different is that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">most mammals walk on their tiptoes<\/span>. \u00a0Once you realize that fact, the legs are not so much a mystery anymore! \u00a0Look closely at this drawing of a human skeleton and compare it to the dog skeleton.<\/p>\n<p>I just went on a walk with my dog, and as I watched his back legs as he walked, realizing his &#8220;heel&#8221; was always six inches off the ground, the more I realized that his legs looks a lot like a human leg!!
